Toronto patients compare several clinics on their phone before they call one. I design and build dental websites that answer their questions quickly, follow Ontario's advertising and accessibility rules, and make booking the easiest next step. You work directly with the developer, not an account manager.
A patient in Toronto who searches "dentist near me" or "Invisalign North York" sees a Map Pack of three clinics, a row of ads and then a long list of practices, often within a few blocks of each other. Google's own help page says local results are based on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Your website feeds two of them. It tells Google which treatments you offer and where (relevance), and its content, links and reputation help prominence. Distance you cannot change, which is why a Toronto clinic should aim to win the searches near its own address rather than the whole city.
That changes how the website should be planned:
Call, book and WhatsApp or email buttons stay within reach on a phone. The booking form asks only what the front desk needs to call the patient back.
One page per treatment with plain-language answers about the procedure, comfort, timing and insurance, so the page can rank for that treatment and a Google Ads campaign can send traffic straight to it.
Structured data with the same clinic name, address, phone and hours as your Google Business Profile, plus clean links between treatment, team and booking pages.
Built to WCAG 2.0 Level AA: readable contrast, keyboard navigation, labelled form fields, alt text and captions where needed.
Compressed images, no heavy page builders where they are not needed, and Core Web Vitals checked before launch.
Google Analytics events for form submissions, calls and booking clicks, and Search Console connected, so you can see which searches bring new patients.
Most website agencies outside healthcare do not know these rules, and in Ontario the dentist, not the marketer, is responsible for what the clinic's advertising says. Here is what I build around:
This is a practical summary from a web developer, not legal advice. Check the current RCDSO guidance or ask the College if you are unsure about a specific claim.

Website design and local search work for dental clinics across Canada and the USA. The Canada dental website page covers the wider Ontario work.
Toronto has many dental marketing agencies, and a full agency team suits some clinics. Here is how working directly with me differs:
| Typical agency | Working directly | |
|---|---|---|
| Who builds the site | Account manager plus a separate design and dev team | The developer you talk to |
| Contract | Website often bundled into a monthly marketing retainer | Website quoted on its own; SEO is optional |
| Website ownership | Sometimes hosted on the agency's own platform | You own the domain, hosting and files |
| Reporting | Branded monthly PDF | Live Search Console and Analytics access |
| Communication | Ticket queue or scheduled calls | Direct WhatsApp and email, reply within 24 hours |
Yes. Toronto-area clinics are part of the 60+ dental clinic websites I have delivered across Canada and the USA, and my nearest named GTA projects are Eglinton Oak Dental in Mississauga and East Credit Dental near the Mississauga/Brampton border. The work is done remotely, with direct WhatsApp and email contact and a live Search Console view instead of a monthly PDF.
Most dental websites launch in 7–14 days from the point content and photos are ready. That includes treatment pages, the booking form, Dentist schema, Google Analytics conversion tracking and a test of every form and call button on mobile.
Under Ontario's Integrated Accessibility Standards, private organizations with 50 or more employees must have public websites that meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA (the requirement took effect on January 1, 2021). Most single-location clinics have fewer staff, so the law may not apply to you, but I build every clinic site to that standard anyway because accessible pages are easier for every patient to use.
Be careful. The RCDSO's advertising guidelines list testimonials and statements that can only be verified by someone's personal feelings among the things to avoid, and the dentist is responsible for advertising a marketer writes for them. Patients can still review you on Google; I simply don't build testimonial sliders or review-schema tricks into Ontario dental websites.
The website helps, but the Map Pack depends on your Google Business Profile, your distance from the searcher and your clinic's prominence, which includes reviews and links. In a city with as many clinics as Toronto, the realistic goal is to win the searches close to your location and for your strongest treatments. Ongoing dental SEO is available if you want that work done for you.
No. Copying one page and swapping the neighbourhood name creates doorway pages, which Google's spam policies target. I create a location page for each real clinic address and treatment pages with genuine local detail, such as parking, transit and nearby landmarks, where they help a patient decide.
Pricing depends on your exact scope, so I quote every project individually. Message me on WhatsApp at +91 96029 27953 for a quick, free quote.
