Clients hire an interior designer after looking at their work, so your website has to show projects beautifully, load fast on a phone and make it easy to start a conversation. I design and build project-led websites for interior designers and fit-out studios in India, the UK, the UAE, the USA and beyond.
Most interior design websites are a home page slider and a gallery of unlabelled photos. They look pleasant, but they don't rank on Google and they don't explain why a client should choose you. A website that wins projects usually does four things well:
One page per project with a short case study, room-by-room galleries, captions with materials and finishes, and before/after images where your client has given permission.
WebP/AVIF images in several sizes, lazy loading and a lightbox that works with swipe on phones. Large monitors get sharp images; phones get light ones.
Project type, location, rooms, timeline and budget band chosen by the client, plus WhatsApp and call buttons. Every enquiry is emailed to you and logged so nothing is lost.
LocalBusiness schema, service pages for the areas you really work in, and a Google Business Profile set up with the Interior designer category and project photos.
Instagram highlights on the site, Pinterest save buttons with good image descriptions, and links to your Houzz or directory profiles.
Google Analytics events for enquiries, calls and WhatsApp clicks, and Search Console connected, so you can see which projects and searches bring in clients.
The keyword research behind this page found interior design website searches in the UK, the UAE, Australia, the USA and India. Each market has a few details worth getting right:
UK clients often compare several studios on Google and Houzz before calling. Show your service area clearly (for example, London and the Home Counties), list any professional memberships you genuinely hold, such as the British Institute of Interior Design, and add a cookie banner and privacy notice that meet UK GDPR and PECR rules if you use analytics or marketing pixels.
Many projects are villas, apartments and commercial fit-outs, and clients may prefer to read in Arabic. I can build a bilingual English and Arabic site with a proper right-to-left layout, rather than an automatic translation widget. Make sure the trade name and licence details on the site match your official trade licence.
A few US states regulate who can practise or use the title "interior designer", and many designers hold the NCIDQ certification. If you hold a credential or state registration, show it with the registration number; if you don't, describe your work accurately without regulated titles. US visitors also expect accessible websites, so I build to WCAG 2.1 AA.
Indian clients often discover designers on Instagram and then message on WhatsApp. The website should make WhatsApp the main contact option, load quickly on mobile data, and answer common questions about timelines, modular kitchens and wardrobes, and site supervision in plain language.
The same structure works well: project pages, a clear process, real service areas and a qualifying enquiry form, plus privacy and cookie notices that match local rules.
This is general guidance from a web developer, not legal advice. Check the rules that apply to your own practice and location.
I have not published an interior design case study yet. These live projects show the same skills: strong visuals, fast galleries and clear enquiry paths.
Seven live Shopify stores with large product galleries, where photos have to look premium and load fast. See the portfolio.
A demo property website I built with a real-time 3D skyline and 360ยฐ tours, showing how immersive visuals can work for premium spaces. It is a concept, not a client project. View the demo โ
Dental clinics, eCommerce brands, education portals and studios. See the full portfolio and the branding studio website.
Interior design is a newer vertical for me and I have not published an interior design case study yet. The work it builds on is real: 315+ websites, including image-heavy Shopify jewellery and fashion catalogues and the Calista Studio website for a branding and marketing studio. I am happy to share those live sites before you decide.
At minimum: a home page that shows your style in the first screen, a projects gallery with one page per project, a services page that explains your process (consultation, concept, sourcing, installation), an about page with your team and credentials, and an enquiry page. A journal or blog is optional but helps with local SEO.
Not if they are prepared properly. I serve modern WebP or AVIF images in several sizes, lazy-load everything below the first screen and keep the original files out of the page. Your projects still look sharp on a large monitor while the page loads quickly on a phone.
Yes. The site is built with LocalBusiness schema and consistent studio details, and I help set up your Google Business Profile with the Interior designer category, your real service areas and project photos. Ongoing local SEO is available if you want that work done for you.
Yes. Many interior designers win clients through Instagram and Pinterest, so I add an Instagram feed or highlights, Pinterest save buttons with proper image descriptions, and links to your Houzz profile. The website stays the place where projects are explained properly and enquiries are captured.
Yes. The keyword research behind this page shows interior design website searches in the UK, the UAE, Australia and the USA as well as India. The work is done remotely over WhatsApp, email and video calls, and I can build bilingual English and Arabic sites for studios in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Pricing depends on your exact scope, so I quote every project individually. Message me on WhatsApp at +91 96029 27953 for a quick, free quote.
